StarForce Content is the solution to protect corporate and commercial information against home copying and unauthorized use. It provides the protection of electronic documents of the following formats: pdf, doc, rtf, html, ppt. This product allows you to solve the problem of information leakage, maintaining the confidentiality and retaining the authorship of the documents you created. You can fearlessly use the protected files according to their purpose, send them to partners, clients, customers, contractors, to regional offices; in short, you can freely use them without fear that somebody can use them to his purpose without your knowledge. The protected files can be distributed on any media and via the Internet.

Working with the protected files for an end user

With disc binding

To view files protected with disc binding, an end user only needs to insert the disc with the files into the drive and open the required file. Disc check then begins, and the file opens.

With binding to computer

To view the protected files, an end user requires a Serial Number, which he/she obtains from the file rightholder. Serial Numbers are generated in the Serial Number generation section. To view the protected pdf files, special program (Viewer) developed by StarForce is required as well.

For an end user, the difference between opening the protected and unprotected pdf files is that in the former case viewer installation and Serial Number input are required**. This is performed as follows.

* There are 2 ways to distribute the Viewer:

1. send the Viewer as an attachment or on media along with the protected files
2. provide hyperlink for an end user to download the Viewer.

** Viewer installation and a Serial Number input are necessary once only when a file is being opened for the first time. The Viewer allows opening any files of the supported format.

If the Viewer is installed on an end users computer, no Viewer installation is required next time the protected files of the same format are being opened.
